Personal injury law is different from other types of law in one big way: how the attorney gets paid. At The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya, our fees are paid on a contingency basis. That means we take as our fees a percentage of any settlement or judgment the opposing party pays you. More simply, it means that we don’t get paid unless we get you a settlement or judgment. If we do, we get paid; if we don’t, we don’t get any money either. We take our fees this way for two big reasons.
